Effects of seed rate and inter row spacing on yield and yield components of food barley in Semen Ari Woreda, Ethiopia

A field experiment was carried out for two successive cropping seasons in 2017 and 2018 at Shama Bulket, Semen Ari Woreda, South Omo Zone, Southern Ethiopia, to determine optimum seed rate inter-row spacing food barley production. The involved a factorial combination of three rates (80, 100 120 kg ha-1) (20, 30 40 cm). conducted using randomized complete block design with replications. results indicated the treatments had significant effect all parameters except plant height spike length. Based on result this study, use cm ha-1 is superior grain yield (4481 total biomass (14.6 t ha-1). Therefore, inter row seeding can be recommended production Bulket kebele its vicinity. Int. J.
